Total Chaos 98-04 Nissan Frontier 4WD & 00-04 Xterra Long Travel System

Jan 2005 Nissan 4wd Frontier and XTerra owners were offered the first bolt on 4wd long travel I.F.S performance suspension system available on the market. TOTAL CHAOS launched the Nissan long travel kit after the development of the 4X2 system in 2003. TOTAL CHAOS tested the suspension platform and off road capabilities logging over 2 thousand off road miles on the vehicle and its related components. When developing the 4wd kit, TC opted to eliminate the factory ball joints that become worn and damaged during off road use and developed 3" extended upper and lower control arms that utilize 1" Teflon lined uniballs. Several concepts in this system have advanced the design & quality of Nissan aftermarket parts that are available to the weekend enthusiast. Our hands on racing experiences are incorporated into the innovative designs and components we offer the general off road community.

This bolt on system features 4130 chromoly tubular upper control arms. The lower arms are boxed and internally gusseted and include shock tabs to install coil over shocks. We developed the kit to eliminate the factory torsion bar set up and incorporate 8" travel 2.5" diameter coil over shocks that offer more tunable ride height settings without sacrificing ride quality. Coils springs offer a more progressive spring rate and better articulation when navigating over obstacles. The spring rate options available can custom tune your vehicle for your specific application. To retain the 4wd system, TC manufactures custom extended and heat treated 300M axles that are inserted into the factory inner and outer CV joints. This complete package includes urethane bushings, inner sleeves, tapered spindle sleeves, D.O.T. approved extended brake lines, chromoly tie rod extensions, grade 8 hardware and extended axles. Some drilling and welding is required for kit installation.
