Trail-Gear Jimny 4.16 T-Case Gear Set

This is the first and only true international gear set that includes all four gears necessary for your low range gear installation.

Low range gears are critical for technical off-road driving. The Trail-Gear Jimny low range gear kit is the highest quality gear set available. Low range reduction is available as follows:

• TGI-303924-3-KIT:
  • 4.16:1 84% low range reduction & 12% high range reduction.

• TGI-303925-3-KIT:
  • 4.90:1 115% low range reduction & 16% high range reduction.

No welded or second rate gears here. These are strong, run quiet and take a huge amount of abuse. This complete kit includes four new precision cut gears, counter shaft, needle bearings, shims, o-ring, gaskets, and input/output seals. Heavy duty front output shaft recommended & available here.

Choosing the right material for these gears was Trail-Gear's top priority. Gears that perform well under load and street driving require a high quality steel alloy material. Trail-Gear chose Japanese alloy SCM415 for its great strength and wear resistance. SCM415 outperforms the 8620 material in yield and ultimate tensile strength resulting in a gear that is less prone to chipping or cracking. SCM415 also retains its strength under high-temperature use. High carbon materials such as SCM420 or 8620 are not the best choice in Trail-Gear's experience and opinion, as they do not carburize as well and can become brittle.

• The recommended tire size for TGI-303924-3-KIT is 29" - 30".
• The recommended tire size for TGI-303925-3-KIT is 30" - 31".
• Fits the following models:
  • 1986-1990 Suzuki Jimny JA71 4WD
  • 1990-1995 Suzuki Jimny JA11 4WD
  • 1995-1998 Suzuki Jimny JA12 4WD
• Will not fit in Jimny chain-drive transfer cases.
