    TornadoTM Series Forged Calipers. Modular construction,4 pistons, 2 fluid transfer tubes that flows 4 times the amount of any other caliper. Hardcoat finish for long lasting appearance and performance

Hurricane Rotors:
The "Hurricane" rotor represents some of the most advanced patented technology available in heat dissipation. Through a joint venture with Advanced Cooling Inc., this uniquely designed high performance rotor contains multiple layers of cooling fins inside. Approximately 10 times more cooling surface area is gained with the Hurricane's internal design & finning than in any high performance disk brake rotor currently on the market. With more heat transfer surface area inside, the brake rotor runs cooler, because it is dissipating heat more quickly, consequently there is less brake fade. The outer surface layers benefit by using materials that provide higher friction coefficients. The result is increased efficiency and longevity of the braking surfaces. The same high temperature brazing process used in aircraft jet and turbine engines is used to manufacture these new rotors.

  • Lower weight possibilities due to higher strength to weight ratios compared to castings and with the use of composite layers of different metals

Revolution Rotors:
In 1993 The Brake Man Inc. developed a whole new series of rotors designed to meet the needs of today's racers. These rotors are known as the "REVOLUTION" due to their unique design. Our entire concept was to develop a lightweight rotor that would tolerate the abuse that most racers would expect, while providing for quality brake operation.

While they are not as light as titanium, these rotors will give you 80% of the weight reduction at 1/3 the price. As for cast aluminum, they can't compare! This rotor is much more impervious to damage and much more thermally capable. When used with our own Brake Man pads, our racers see several seasons of life from the rotors.

This rotor has been specifically designed to reduce warpage to a flat plate steel rotor. For many years, racers have been using steel rotors, especially on sprint car rear application and on Northeast Modified (DIRT) cars. We realized the weight benefits of running flat plate steel rotors, but they had a tendency to "dish" or "belville", within one to two nights of use.

 

Pro-Cast Rotors:
Our ProCast rotors begin with select castings that we subject to the same proprietary thermal process as all of our rotors. Then they are plated for long life and appearance. These quality rotors offer much longer life and resistance to cracking and warpage compared to other cast rotors.



F1 Tornado:
It has dual internal crossover passages, larger brake pads, only one bleed screw for easier bleeding, and for the first time, it fits either side! Distributors and racers do not need a left and right side unit. The "zero drag" characteristics provide a major advantage when used on limited horsepower vehicles, such as go karts, mini sprints and more.

To change a left caliper to a right caliper, all you do is swap the bleed screw with the inlet fitting. The housing withstands deflection much better than any other caliper which results in a firmer pedal with greatly improved brake torque. When you combine these calipers with our high torque pads, you truly realize brake performance like never before. It is made to fit the standard Airheart, JFZ style 3.25" mounting pattern with no modification!

 

F3 Tornado:
The F3 is a patented caliper that incorporates a unique crossover tube that is impervious to damage. This unique caliper bolts on the standard mounting pattern like the old JFZ mini Grand National 5.25 mount, or other comparable calipers, but that's where the comparison ends! This caliper has far improved rigidity due to its forged billet design. The fluid flow to the outboard pistons is quicker and much more responsive. Just like all of the calipers from The Brake Man, there are no left or right hand calipers. Just switch the inlet and bleed screw fittings and you are ready to go!

 

F4 Tornado:
The F4 is made for the late model dirt and asphalt cars, inboard rear sprint car, and for the rear of the Nascar Sprint Cup and Busch series cars. It fits the standard 3.5" mount with no modification. It incorporates the patented crossover tube arrangement found on the F3 and the F5, so be ready for a major improvement in brake response! This caliper is so powerful, we have even made a new oversize pad, called the Super 4 ¾" , just to take full advantage of the road race applications that this caliper is used on.

 

F5 Tornado:
The F5 is our flagship caliper that represents the best of what an American made caliper is all about! It incorporates the patented dual crossover tube arrangement, a supersize brake pad, and a rigid housing unmatched by any caliper. The severe demands of Road Racing, Sprint Cup and Trophy Truck racing make this caliper of choice when nothing else will do. Dyno tests against the Brembo Monobloc by Tex Racing confirmed this.
